Eyeline Video System 1.0

Eyeline Video System is a video surveillance application. It allows you to keep track of up to 100 camera feeds from the comfort of a single graphical user interface.

Once you add a camera, the application will start recording. The recorded videos are saved on your hard drive and you can access them in a separate window. For each device, you can enable motion detection, which can be configured to trigger certain events. When the application detects considerable movement on the screen, you can, for instance, have it e-mail you. Also, by default, Eyeline keeps track of all the instances when movement was detected, and it lists them next to the video's title in the Find and Play screen. The motion detection isn't the best I have seen though. If you move slowly enough, the application will not even detect you are moving. You can move from one side of the screen to the other and nothing will happen. But if you do jerky movements, then you will trigger it.

Other features include support for uploading recordings to FTP and to back them up to a network drive. It also has a web server you can access to get the latest info about your cameras. One feature that stands out is that you can predefine a monitor to show the camera feeds and use the one for regular everyday use, which would work great in a dual-display setup.
